Nowadays, cross-cultural communication is growing very rapidly and the importance of widening our sights is evident. In my dissertation, using thorough research of intercultural communication between Russia and China, I tried to show the necessity of deep learning and understanding other culture, because I am sure that just in this case and by means of providing enough knowledge we can avoid or soften arising cross-cultural communication problems, and can get a result of strengthening relations of both sides, which will be helpful for developing of cross-cultural relations between our countries. This thesis has five chapters:the first chapter proves the importance of intercultural communication research. The second chapter represents the analysis of reasons, causing the cross-cultural communication problems, these reasons include the cultural gap between China and Russia, the role of morality and politic system of our countries in the development of education systems. While the third chapter shows the particular examples of intercultural misunderstanding and offers some ways to solve these problems or to avoid them. The fourth chapter is experimental part, in which I represent the ideas of using alternative ways of teaching Chinese language to foreigners, including mixture of Chinese and western teaching methods. And the last fifth part offers us a teaching plan of intercultural communication class, designed by me specially for foreign students, coming to China to improve their language skills. In my thesis I emphasize the important role of intercultural communication classes in the process of studying Chinese as a second language. Taking into consideration that lately relationships between Russia and China are developing smoothly, I may regard it as a positive sign to improve our cooperation in the education field as well, that's why I hope that my deep interest in studying of Chinese culture and language can help other foreign students to improve their language skills, avoid intercultural misunderstanding and rise their interest to Chinese culture.
