China is a typical agricultural country. "Rural Issues" has a profound impact on the development of China's agricultural economy and living standards of farmers, and ultimately affect the entire social harmony. Building a harmonious society, not only to solve the problem of the food and clothing of peasants, but also to make groups of farmers share the fruits of social development. However, due to uneven economic development, the income level of rural residents, in terms of social security benefits is still relatively lagging behind compared to cities and towns. At the same time as the worsening trend of the rural population aging, increasing the size of the elderly in rural areas, the traditional security model function gradually decline, the problem of rural old-age has brought a heavy financial pressure to the elderly and their children, resulting in the elderly pension lack of adequate and effective protection, and their children had to reduce spending in personal development, this is not good for the personal development of young farmers and improving the quality of life, and ultimately affected the overall economic development in China. Therefore the establishment of a sound social security system in rural areas is imperative. Based on the above background, the paper is divided into five parts to start:The first chapter is the introduction of this background, the research significance, research methodology and research framework, and defined the scope of this study.The second chapter is Theoretical Summary. By reading a large number of domestic and international journal articles, classified, summarized from a more academic point of rural old-age security problem, laid a more solid theoretical basis.The existing domestic supply of rural old-age security system and home supplies were fully elucidated in chapter III.The fourth chapter is the empirical part. It investigated the situation of Hancunhe in Fangshan District, Beijing. Conduct research to understand the pension system in Beijing, further analysis the demand factors of old-age security for rural residents, trying to find out the biggest problems of the old-age security system facing. Chapter V analyzed the uneven economic development firstly, pointing out the background of the establishment of rural old-age security system, and drawing on the foreign developed countries and advanced developing countries experience, finally proposed the best choice is to establish a multi-level, multi-pillar pension system.This paper specifically analyzes the economic and social situation of the establishment of rural old-age security system in China, And to fully consider the peculiarities of them as a feature different from of the past of the old-age security system's reforming and improving. However, due to the limitations of personal ability, there must be a lot of inadequacies in paper, I hope I can improve it in the future study.
