The Prospective Study Of Sino-Korean Cooperation In Thetumen River Region

The Tumen River Area Development Project (TRADP), which was proposed by Chinese Scholars in 1980s and advocated by The United Nations Development Project (UNDP) in 1990s, is attracting extensive attention.With the implementing of TRADP for over twenty years, we have made a great breakthrough in the exploitation of Tumen River Area. In Aug, 2008 Chinese government approved the scheme of Changchun-Jilin-Tumen pilot zone, which gave a new opportunity to strengthen the corporation in Tumen area.Although great successes were achieved in TRADP, we can still find the big difference between the current situations and our goals. Along with the current complicated and constantly changing international situation in Korea Peninsula, the fact that North Korea has no diplomatic tie with Japan or America pose a great obstacle to the implementing of the project.In this thesis,I aim to analyze the problems existing in corporation in Tumen area based on the previous studies, and put forward some constructive suggestions for TRADP.
