Oral communication skills play a vital role during one's lifetime, whether it is to communicate thoughts and emotion exchange or finding a job and daily work. New Curriculum and the new high school Chinese textbooks put the "oral communication" in a very important position. New curriculum standard clearly stated: "Oral communication skills are essential for modern citizens. We should cultivate students'listening, expression and response capabilities; enable students to conduct civilized and harmonious interpersonal communication literacy." Oral communication should guide learners in the process of learning spoken language, improve their oral literacy, build harmonious relationships. Oral communication teaching is an important part of the process of examination-oriented education changing to quality education, and this research has theoretical and practical significances.The author mainly access to the school library and the relevant Chinese Knowledge Network, books, magazines, the topic of the doctoral and master thesis over the years to understand oral communication theory and teaching practice on the basic situation The literature was systematically combing the conduct of this study to establish a theoretical basis, including communicative competence theory, constructivist theory and the theory of effective teaching. While oral communication is the language teaching field of education, but it spans the theoretical basis of linguistics, psychology, education and a variety of disciplines category.During the internship period, the author gets first-hand material on oral communication education in high school by sending questionnaires and observing the daily performance of the students in high school. Based on the oral communication theory and a hundred years of oral communication teaching, combined with the high school language teaching, the author probes high school oral communication objectives and content in the background of new curriculum. The author also makes the suggestions about improving oral communication in the high school language teaching.This article is divided into six chapters. The first chapter introduces the reason of choosing this topic, the significance and methods of research. Oral communication teaching in recent ten years is reviewed, and the theoretical basis for the research is proposed. The second chapter reviews Chinese oral teaching in a hundred years. It outlines the change and development of Chinese language oral communication teaching in a hundred years by dividing three periods. In the third chapter, the author releases the questionnaire and makes statistics, finding that the current existence of high school language teaching oral communication lies a range of issues, including being lack of hours, arduous tasks and big pressure; not making full use of teaching materials, and the lack of appropriate feedback as well as evaluation system. The fourth chapter is divided into two parts. The first part interprets the meaning of oral communication teaching targets. The second part talks about oral communication of teaching content. The author points out the aspects teachers should focus on by taking textbooks of People's Education Press as an example of high school language teaching oral communication. Combining the actual situation, Chapter Five makes some feasible suggestions for improvement to the current high school language oral communication teaching, based on the principles of situation, living and comprehensive. The content of sixth chapter is the examples of high school Chinese language oral communication teaching. According the classification for oral communication activities by Professor Wang Rongsheng, the author designs three forms of corresponding lesson plans:"direct and tactful speaking"for"spoken in daily life communication";"brainstorming"for"oral communicative activities in the organization";""the reading guide of <Patio Spring ? Changsha>"for"written material expression with sound".
