| High education in China is in development, and especially with the expansion of high education scales, there has been an increasing and rapid growth in the number of young teachers who become the backbone of high education. At present, in the process of building an innovative China, there is an urgent need of a large number of high-quality innovative talents. And the fostering of talents depends on education; meanwhile the key of education is the teacher. Young teachers, as the main force of high education, are not only closely related to the teaching quality in tertiary education, but also the future of tertiary education and the realization of strategy of invigorating China through science, technology and education and the strategy of reinvigorating China through talents development. As teachers, having strong education ability is the essential and basic condition for them to carry out high-quality education activity and to achieve the aims of education. Because those young teachers with doctoral, master degree or professional knowledge have not received systematic professional education, they lack of knowledge on how to teach and educate and also lack of expertise on how to pass on knowledge and how to be a teacher. Therefore, the emphasis on young teacher education ability building of teachers is the key to strengthen the construction of teachers, to improve teaching quality of higher education, to cultivate high quality innovative talents, and to promote higher education reform and development.At present, some new characteristics about the contemporary students like diverse values and needs, individuality, consciousness, self-conscious features, require young teachers put students in dominant position of education and teaching, focus on individual development, teach students in accordance to their aptitude, and improve teaching methods and the relevance and effectiveness of teaching. this paper, with the needs and understandings of students as the starting point and with the base of investigation and analysis of the existing problems of young teachers, combining with the new requirement of modern education values, from the goal of the all-round development of morality, intelligence, physical health and art and cultivating high-quality innovative talents, proposes to strategies to enhance young teacher education ability building.This paper is divided into three parts:the first part adopts the methodology of literature study, combining with the characteristics of higher education teaching, analyzes the contents and basic elements of teachers' education ability. The second part mainly through questionnaires and interviews, from the two angles of both teachers and students, makes a comparative analysis of young teachers'overall quality, the understanding of the importance of quality composition of young teachers and the existing problems as regards the communality and differences, and thus analyzes the existing problems of young teachers. The third part mainly focuses on the existing problems of young teachers, from promote students from the goal of the all-round development of morality, intelligence, physical health and art and cultivating high-quality innovative talents, proposes strategies to enhance young teacher education ability building both from the perspective of the high education institute and young teachers themselves. |
