College Students' Values take the dominant role on their behavior. Generally contemporary students form similar values, but because of different family background, growth conditions, material conditions, social status, education status and other differences, the formation of their values are also displayed some differences. With some findings on deficiency of previous researches, especially on the factors of the values content, with the example of Anhui Province. It will further enrich and improve the theories of urban and rural areas of university students'values, and provide theoretical support and methodological guidance to effectively strengthen the education of urban and rural students, to enhance the effectiveness of moral education and to help college students to establish better values.The thesis starts with its practical meaning and enhancement of the effectiveness of values education. By setting the questionnaire, researches, literature studies, comparative analysis on the similarities and differences of the system of urban and rural students' values, the paper points out the reasons for the differences, and further probes into strategies to education and guidance to help urban and rural students to establish the correct values.The thesis consists four parts.The first part is the forward, which studies three aspects:The first is about the meaning of the comparative study of urban and rural students' values, including its theoretical and practical significance. The second is about studies home and abroad, in which domestic and foreign scholars' previous studies on the students' values are reviewed. The third is about the thought and method for this study. The thesis develops its study in the following aspects-the basic arguments, methodology, research questionnaire and problem-solving. Methods used in this thesis are conducting a questionnaire, which is mainly based on Hefei Normal University, and at last statistically undertaking research on the valid questionnaires from randomly selected urban and rural students.The beginning of the second part of the thesis is the definition of related concepts and analysis, which include the definition of urban and rural students, trying to illustrate the scope of rural and urban students this thesis studies. Then are the presentation of general concepts of values and the relationship among students'values, their personal success and social development, which highlights the importance of research.The third part focuses on the compressive analysis on values of urban and rural students. Respectively from the aspects as values of life, political values, moral values, professional values, values of love, the thesis makes a comparative study of the values of urban and rural students and analyzes the characteristics and differences between the two.The fourth part is about the reasons and strategies for differences between current values of urban and rural of students. The thesis finds that the underlying cause is the influence of the two-track system of urban and rural education formed by dual structure, which leads to differences both in family education and school education for rural and urban students. Thus the thesis gives suggestion as follows:to use the socialist core value system to guide value education for urban and rural students; to balance urban and rural educational development, promoting urban and rural educational equity; to optimize the social environment, playing its educating function of values education; to strengthen ideological and political education in colleges, and playing the leading role of value education. Besides, family and school should joint together, playing the basic role of values education. And individuals should advance with times, playing the key role of values.
