The education of minorities is an important part in the education of China, However, due to the historical development and natural environment, the education of our ethnic minorities stays in a relatively backward situation in a long period. Children are the future and hope for one national, so first of all we must focus on children's lives and development in the national education. Children can be divided into pre-schoolchildren and school-age children according to different entrance time, and pupil belongs to school-age children. The "child" mainly refers to the school-age children, namely the pupil in this research. School is the main place for students' studies and lives, also an important place to develop the students'knowledge, values, and behavior. The students'time spent in school accounted for about one-third of everyday life, and resident student is much longer. For the pupils whom are in the key period of developing physical and mental, their state of existence in school have an important influence to their psychological and ideas, thus influence their future living state.This paper uses the elementary students from the race Lihuyao village as the research object, investigates and analyzes the causes of its school living condition under the view of cultural ecology, and then discusses effective ways to improve children's school living state for the ethnic minorities. This research mainly uses the methods of literature, observation, interview and field survey:mainly collects and sorts literature data which about children's survival state in school through the literature method to understand the current research situation. Using the method of field survey to investigate the village, and field research in school children's living state of the race Lihuyao village, through the methods of participatory observation, natural observation, group interview and individual interview in the middle and late period in this paper.This paper includes five parts:The first part is introduction. Mainly discusses about the source of topic, purpose and meaning in this research, literature review, research methods and process.The second part is the concept definition. Mainly defines and differentiates about the basic concepts such as "child", "school", "existence" and "survival state" The third part analysis the cultural and ecological environment in primary schools of the race Lihuyao village. Mainly analysis from two sides, one is the school external culture and ecological environment (including natural, social and specification), the other is internal cultural and ecological environment (including physical, spiritual, cultural and system).The fourth part analysis and investigates the pupil's school living state in the race Lihuyao village. Analysis the factors which influence living state of pupil in the view of cultural ecology, and in the way of investigating the characteristics and existing problems in the village.The last part comes up with strategic thinking to improve the living state of the minorities' pupil school. In order to improve minority children's school living state, the external environment about harmonious school and good educational environment inside must be created and build.
