The study applies the method of qualitative study about Children's family art education. A child violinist from one family is selected as the case study subject. The significant events in practice of family art education that affects the child's art literacy development is thoroughly and profoundly analyzed on basis of the deep description of the child's art learning experiences and the true event of art education practice in the family. In particular, the study emphasizes the important role played by parents in the family art education.Based on the analysis of the original material, in the part of narration, the researcher descriptions about the family art education practice from three parts such as the child, parents, art teachers and presents the situation of art education in the case of family.In the part of analysis, the researcher explores the key factors that affect the practice in family art education from two angles of the concept of art education and the practice in family art education. Firstly, the researcher reflects the concept of art education of the parents from the three aspects such as parents'concept of art and art education and the contradiction on the ideal of art education encountering reality. Secondly, the researcher analyzes the factors that influence the practice in family art education from several aspects such as parent's educational purpose and educational mode, the content of family art education and the function of off-campus art education and so on. In this paper, the researcher realizes some problems on current family art education. On concept, educational belief becomes fragile due to the differences between the ideal and the reality; on practice, educational belief gradually mature but still needs improving.Through the analysis, the researcher offers some study suggestion from two aspects such as the family internal conditions and social support system. Family internal conditions include five aspects:to increase parent's art literacy quality, to pay close attention to child's initial interest in art, to educate in order that family art education do not follow others according to characteristics of child, to build the artistic family atmosphere, to attach importance to the natural environment and to make full use of the social educational resources. In aspect of social support system, the researcher puts forward the research proposals for off-campus art training institutions and all circles of society.Finally, the researcher reflects on the whole study from three aspects such as research methods, the ethical problem about my research and the results of research.
