Research On The Development And Utilization Of University History Resources

University History Resources, containing all the material and nonmaterial elements formed in the foundation, development and expansion of universities, not only embodies the real objects came into being in the school running, but showcases the spiritual components, such as concepts of school running and campus culture cultivated. With the strengthening work on university students'ideological and political education throughout the country, more and more scholars focus their research perspectives on the effectiveness of such educational work through university history resources. Man has a long history of developing and utilizing resources since the formation of resources. But, confined by different factors, the development and utilization of university history resources has just taken its first steps by far. Through the author's detailed theoretical research, this dissertation probes into different approaches of developing and utilizing the university history resources.Based on her substantive documentary analysis and theoretical research, the author of this dissertation summarizes achievements of former research on university history first. Then, started from her study of the definition and characteristics of resources, the author holds that university history resources, a special form of resources, also has the common features, like usefulness, effectiveness and finiteness, of normal resources. After defining university history resources and its utilization, the author classifies it from different perspectives and points out that it has the functions of education, culture, propaganda and entertainment. Furthermore, the author expounds the development and utilization of university history resources, and puts forward that we must persist in the principles of systematization, sustainability, effectiveness and characterization.Having expounded profoundly the development and utilization of university history resources, the author stresses that the above-mentioned principles must be abided by, and points out that the development and utilization of university history resources is the need of strengthening university students'ideological and political education, the need of flourishing campus culture and the need of constructing harmonious society.Having assimilated the advanced experiences and accurate methods at home on the development and utilization of university history resources and summarized three approaches of its development and utilization:constructing exhibition hall of university history, editing and compiling historical resources and opening relative courses, the author believes that we have to take full consideration of different levels of utilizing university history resources under the condition of knowledge economy. Through her study of the current condition and questions of the development and utilization of Anhui Agricultural University's history resources, the author puts forward her solutions finally, such as, constructing a characteristic university history museum, compiling university history systematically, set up culture courses like "History of Anhui Agricultural University", enhancing the construction of spiritual and material civilization in university history, integrating all kinds of resources and campus tour.
