Articles need to be modified many times to be perfect. The importance of writing-modification isn't second to writing itself. Who should be responsible for writing-modification? Ye Shengtao thinks that "modifying" and "writing" are closely related. The priority of modifying should belong to the writer himself. Modifying their own articles and others' should be the basic writing skills of high school students. However, in the long term, influenced by the traditional way of marking composition, many teachers don't attach importance to writing instructions of students' self-modification but burying themselves in careful correction of their students' compositions, making students lose their own right and awareness of modifying, their modifying ability weakened.New curriculum reform lays more emphasis on developing students' writing ability through writing practice. As is clearly stated in Chinese Course Standard, it is necessary to introduce students to self-modifying and mutual-modifying, draw on each other's merits for common progress, promote a better understanding and cooperation and improve their writing level. Faced with the current situation of writing-teaching, after carful thoughts, we should look at students' development and future, teach students to modify compositions, and urge students to form a good habit of writing-modification, It demands immediate attention to cultivate high school students' life-lasting modifying ability. Based on this, following footprints of predecessors and colleagues, rooted in the teaching practice, I explore and summarize an effective strategy of training high school students' writing-modifying ability, as well as more practical operational training plan, so as to achieve the goal of improving the writing level of high school students.According to the current situation of modifying compositions in high schools, I analyze existing problems in writing-modification and current situation of high school students' ability to modify compositions in the aspects of teachers and students. Furthermore, I talk about the requirements of students' ability in writing-modification in Chinese Course Standard and put forward principles of pertinence, stimulation, gradualness and strengthening followed to cultivate students'ability in writing-modification. The paper focuses on strategies of cultivating students' ability in writing-modification. Through the summary of teaching practice in writing-modification, three prerequisites to cultivate students' ability in writing-modification are put forward, role of teachers, students'reservation of knowledge and approach, systemic composition modification training program. Cultivation of high school students' writing-modifying ability is realized by clarifying modifying purpose, teachers' model modification, students' independent modification, modifying interaction between students and teachers, teachers' summary and assessment and so on. Through the cultivation of high school students' ability in writing-modification, it can help students form a good writing habit, improve writing ability, motivate writing enthusiasm, develop students' thinking skills. Meanwhile, it should be noted that in the training process we should avoid anxiety, little trial and laying emphasis on modification and no assessment.According to teaching based on the repeated writing practice and exploration, through the study of this topic, I present the ways of cultivating high school students' ability of writing-modification and reflections, hoping to change the inefficient state of composition teaching and improve students' writing ability.
