Due to the fast development of information society and image-reading times, visual literacy, as a basic literacy, has increasingly become a very important research field in recent years. The ability to think directly about the image rendered by the media has become a key skill. Also, it has become an important subject of contemporary education to cultivate the visual literacy of students.Analying of domestic and foreign researches about visual literacy, we can find that the achievements are not plentiful and substantial. What's more, the researches are not given sufficient emphasis in Current Modern Educational Technology. The study is based on the junior middle school information technology teaching. It proposes the urgency of developing middle-school students'visual read-write ability and the practicality that the teaching can be combined with the information technology. To satisfy the demands of visual literacy in middle school and complying to the development and the request of the times, it is urgent to raise the visual read-write ability.Based on theoretical analysis and practice, this essay advances strategies and practice to raise the visual read-write ability in junior high school information technology teaching. From theoretical analysis, it advances two strategies on training visual literacy-visual ability to interpret training and visual presentation skills training. On the basis of this, the writer carries out practical study of exploratory classroom teaching on developing middle-school students'visual read-write ability. The writer uses middle school information technology teaching classes as a carrier, and put training visual literacy-visual ability into every link of the classroom teaching. While finishing information technology teaching, the writer writes relevant teaching cases and puts forward corresponding programs, in which the knowledge of visual literacy is trained in teaching content in full accord. The writer also proves the efficiency of training strategies through the practice of students' works. The training strategies are checked by the later questionnaires and optimized. From theories and technology, the writer makes innovative research on middle school students'education, and hopes to carry on the theoretical discussions and practical attempt of training visual literacy in a deeper and broader angle.
