Research On Cultivation Of University Students' Creative Thinking

Social progress is prompted by humanity's innovation, in which creative thinking plays a precursive role. In a sense, without creative thinking, there would be no innovative practice, not to say innovative achievements. Since the 1940s, we have set out to study systematically innovation and creativity, utilizing the research achievements in a wide range of domains and prompting society's fast development. In the face of the global competition in the new century ranging from technology, economy to the comprehensive national strength, all countries have realized that the competition is competition of talents'creativity rather than talents. China, who wants to remain unbeaten in this competition, have to have a large number of creative talents.In the project of enhancing creative thinking in China in the new century, great importance should be attached to the cultivation of university students'creative thinking. Higher education is supposed to take the historic responsibility of cultivating students'creative thinking. Creative thinking of the university students, the main force of constructors and successors of this socialist country, is directly related to China'development of science and technology and its competitiveness in the international community. Not only our country's economic development, but also the continuous reform in the universities is in urgent need of cultivating the students'creative thinking.With systematic analysis of concepts of creative thinking, the features and basic process of creative thinking are studied. With deep insight into the problems with creative thinking of the university students, one basic framework of this domain is established. Based on the framework, the idea of providing fundamental guarantee for cultivation of the university students'creative thinking is brought forth, aiming to be helpful as to how to cultivate a large number of quality university students with creative thinking.
