With the prompting of curriculum reform of the basic education in our country, high school arts appreciation as a required subject plays a more and more important role. However, there is still a distance between the current situation and the requirement of new curriculums in high school arts appreciation education during the educational teaching practice.Under these circumstances, the thesis began with the concepts of art criticism and art appreciation, carried out a study on fine arts appreciation education, and talked about fine arts appreciation education with critical methods. The aim was to construct a critical teaching method for the education of art appreciation, and let art criticism carry out into the fine arts appreciation education and breakthrough the all teaching practice procedure. The fine arts appreciation education with critical method was based on the point that arts education and arts learning should contact completely with our living. The fine arts appreciation learning helped the students not only acquire knowledge, but also gave them the practice of understanding themselves and value self-identity. The fine arts appreciation education with critical method emphasize the point of student-centeredness and the interaction between teachers and students, which could change single-information transmission approach of the traditional fine arts appreciation education, just as teaching the students only presupposition. This approach used to change the teacher performing the power of decision and interpretation as a knower figure and let the activity of appreciation simply becoming passively accepting to the conclusion, and let the students take part in the activity of appreciation learning in a critical dialogize situation.The students could deepen the understanding of living virtually in the process of art criticism, and realize the social perception with art criticism, through which the students could understand or construct new social values. Under this firmly values, the students would not aborted some flush visual images without choice. To contemporary art, the students would not have blind faith, fanaticism or exclusion without analysis. Otherwise, criticism could educate the students the ability of acute perception, and perceive culture at the same time of perceiving arts, and find the connotation and significance of culture with the form of comment.
