In 2009, The Ministry of Education expanded the enrollment of the full-time professional degree with 50,000 fresh graduates. The expansion of full-time professional degree, changed the original matriculate structure, and made all kinds of professional degree into the new development. Therefore, it's necessary to innovate and reform the cultivating mode of the full-time professional degree. The study adopts the full-time degree of materials engineering as specific research perspective. The first part of this study is the introduction. This part mainly expounds the research background, the research objective, literature review and the research methods. The second part of this study is the literature research. This part of study is to summarize the connotation and characteristics of the full-time master of material engineering. The third part of this study is the comparative research. Through comparing the differences between the full-time master of material engineering and the master of science in material engineering of six universities in china and USA, this part of study is aimed to summarize the differences of the two kinds of master degree's differences in each country and the enlightenment and reference to our country. The fourth part of this study is the investigation. Combining the conclusion of the literature research and the comparative research, the researcher designed the questionnaire of the training of China's full-time master of material engineering to identify existing problems of our country's cultivating mode. In the meantime, this part of study combines further interview research to obtain further information, to provide the basis and reference for the innovation of the cultivating mode of our country's full-time master of material engineering. The fifth part of this study is the conclusion and suggestion. This part of study is to briefly reviewed the research results and put forward some suggestions based on those results. The study found the problems which exists in the training process of our country's full-time master of engineering: the training objective performs practically no function; lack of practicality in the training process; the quality evaluation system is undefined; the conceptual identification is much higher than the virtual identification. The study makes suggestions as follows: clear the Cultivation orientation and apply it to the practice process; reform the curriculum settings and expand the interdisciplinary courses; strengthen teachers procession construct and improve the"double tutors"system; Rationalize the scholarship system and improve the evaluation system; focus on the professional practice and deepening the cooperation between universities and enterprises; complete the cultivating evaluation system and improve the quality of thesis.
