This transition willdefinitely lead to the reformation of the Master of Engineering Cultivation Mode inChina. Therefore, maximizing the advantages of technology iniversites, creating ascientific and rational training model, and training qualified full-time students withMaster of Engineering degree become key issues that science and engineeringuniversities are facing in China. The cultivation model of the full-time Master of Engineering is the consistentthread of this paper, including the comparison of full-time and part-time Master ofEngineering, full-time Master of Engineering and traditonal Master of Engineering. This paper confirmed7elements of the cultivation model of the full-time Master ofEngineering and the seperate secondary elements, by the method of content analysis.Based on these analysis, the defination of the cultivation model of the full-time Masterof Engineering is a model of culticating higher-quality application talents, combinedwith goals, management, faculty, curriculum, teaching, quality and practice, in thecultivating circumstance of full-time Master of Engineering.Harbin Institute of Technology full-time engineering graduate cultivating is usedas a case, for the practice reserch of all levels elements of the system, and the furtherverifying the rationality of the establishment of full-time master of engineeringcultavating model system. SWOT analysis is used to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the full-time master of engineering in the university ofscience.
