Ideological and political theory course, the main channel of theideological and political education, is an important way for trainingqualified builders and reliable successors of the Chinese characteristicSocialism. It represents the essence of the University of Socialism, and hasincreasingly caught attention from central committee and the whole society.Since the"05 plan"starts, teaching of ideological and political theorycourse is concerned all around. How is the situation of this education underthe new program? Do the university students learn well?On the occasion of the fifth anniversary of "05 plan", based on thetheory of aesthetics and its transmission, at the perspective of recipients,we start a research on the reception effect of political theory educationduring thousands of students in six universities in Shanghai. Under thepremise of the structural analysis on the reception effect of ideological andpolitical theory courses, through the collation of research results, we havenot only summarized both the achievements and remaining problems of ideological and political education, but also found out the reason why thereception effect is not good enough.So in order to solve the problems and further strengthen and improveideological and political theory teaching, we come up with somesuggestions to provide references for the better functioning of thesecourses. That is to consider the students demand as the fundamentalconcern, improve teacher quality as the key point, focus on the promotionof curriculum development, and enhance the organization and managementas the guarantee.
