Today, China's secondary vocational education has entered a new stage of development. Vocational education in China has received more focus. Especially in 2007 the state has issued a series of preferential policies for secondary vocational schools: the implementation of state grants, scholarships policy; mechanic skills to implement poverty alleviation programs from autumn 2009 onwards, the implementation of agriculture-related majors and students from poor families free tuition policy and tuition-free students from poor families the proportion of not less than 5% of the students. This series of preferential policies have become the focus of the world's attention, and many teachers engaged in secondary vocational education said: The spring of secondary vocational education is coming. But the path of vocational education in how to cultivate a"innovative skilled personnel", how these"innovative and skilled personnel"to develop healthy and happily, and how to become all-round development people to adapt the future society well is still a question. The literature and history courses in secondary vocational schools, is paid less attention and how to change such an unreasonable situation? Because with the teaching of literature and history courses we could improve the students'cultural awareness, promote the comprehensive development of students. I try to give some tips on how to operate course included culture and history the status, significance, importance of the former one, and how to co-exist with the majors.Vocational literature and history curriculum content is the focus of this article described. We should focus on the special nature of vocational education and vocational students and start the teaching of important conents that is different from high school education, that is to say ,with our own features. For example, appreciate outstanding literary works, the basic cultural and historical knowledge, and learning of ancient culture knowledge. At the same time we should have a change on the teaching means and methods accordingly. In addition, we have to solve how to improve the ability of vocational teachers who teach literature and history, the students should learn how to arouse their enthusiasm of cultural and historical knowledge. Finally, the writer list the viewpoints on the co-existence of the target course and the majors, this part is the key of this paper, more study and discussion should be paid in the coming teaching career. This paper is divided into five parts: Part I, Introduction. Address the questions raised by the background, research status, research ideas and methods, research significance and innovation. The second, the status of the teaching of literature and history in vocational education.. Elaborate the secondary vocational education, and the problems of secondary vocational education in literature and history. The third part, the significance of literature and history courses, the status and importance. Deprived through a large number of questionnaires, analysis the meaning and importance of literature and history courses in secondary vocational education. Part IV, the teaching imporance of literature and history courses and the teaching methods. Describes the focus of the literature and history curriculum and how to develop the cultural and historical teaching methods. Part V, how to deal with literature and history courses and professional courses in the teaching process, we should try to attempt to design not only the cooperation between the literaure and history courses and the majors: that is to say, supplement of our own teaching material and the selective history and geography courses, to develop the teachers ability to meet the new requirement——who can work in two different fields, but also the co-exsitence of the former subjects and the later one: to develop the morals with the abilities, to gain knowledge accompanied with action.
