Reading is not only the way to collect information, know the world, but also the way to develop the mind, and more get the experience of the aesthetic appreciation. Reading ability is linear development rather than solely on a stage. Cultivating students'strong reading abilities, we must prompted their reading extensively from the primary school. So, the Chinese reading teaching is always a hot topic talked by people, and it is one of the most important content during the Chinese teaching, the way to cultivate students'reading ability. About Chinese teaching, reading is the roots of Chinese teaching, the mother of Chinese learning. In practice ,reading teaching lasts so long periods, the result is just so so.This paper is divided into introduction and five parts. Introduction part including: background of the research, significance and methods of the research. The first part from the concept, theoretical foundation and characteristics, methods four aspects to review Chinese reading teaching in primary schools; The second part is the introduction at home and abroad on the development of Chinese reading teaching in primary schools and revelation; The third part is the present situation of Chinese reading teaching in primary schools observation and analysis of the results; The fourth part for Chinese reading teaching in primary schools'achievement and the main problems existing in the class. The fifth part for Chinese reading teaching in primary schools solution.
