Challenges And Strategies Of Medical Colleges Facing On Medical Ethics Education

As future health care workers, medical student is the guardian of people's lives and patron saint of the health. From the point of view on either the self-development of medical student and health front in terms of or social progress, it is not only for medical students to acquire good knowledge of professional skills, but also to think over problems in the different perspectives, including medical science, society, ethics and moral. What's more, medical students must foster people-oriented and patient centered the noble medical ethics. For a longtime, China's medical education focuses on the technical aspects of medical science training but neglect the medical ethics education for medical students, which causes unreasonable loss of the humanistic sprit. Therefore, it has great significance to strengthen medical ethics education of the medical students, to combine professional education with medical ethics education, to develop medical ethics beliefs, medical professional emotional and medical professionalism, to enhance the capacity and level humanistic care, as well as to form a good medical ethics mental outlook.Recently, our country is in the period of social transition. Market economy, multi-cultural and the transition of medical model bring about all kinds of challenges to the medical ethics education of medical colleges. Especially, under the condition of the market economy, people's view on value and ethics as well as the interpersonal relations are changing profoundly, which causes more medical disputes and gives rise to the tension between doctors and patients. Therefore, the research into the medical ethics education in medical school is of great significance to improve care for life and health care level of service.This paper applies some subjects'theory, such as medicine, ethics, psychology, pedagogy. By referring to literature, conversation and observation, this paper proceeds on the basis of the objective practice and phenomenon, aims to present the strategies of dealing with the problem of the medical ethics education in accordance with the analysis and discussion of the current situation problems, and the causes of the medical ethics education.This article is divided into four parts:The first part introduces the characteristics and missions of the medical colleges, through focusing on the analysis of confronting multiple challenges of the medical colleges and the meaning of strengthen medical ethics education. The article on ethics education for medical students is in favor of the construction of socialist spiritual civilization. Moreover, it is beneficial to help train qualified medical talents and guide the students to have a correct concept of career.The second part discusses the medical ethics content of the medical colleges, including the basic principles of socialist ethics and the general content of medical ethics education. Also it clarifies the meaning the spirit of Bethune and the value of time. This part points out that students should be educated to establish the idea of serving the people whole heartedly and implement life-saving humanitarian spirit. The third part comes to the conclusion that existence of medical ethics education on the cause of the current medical education in medical schools in our country mainly in the following four aspects through analyzing the current situation of medical ethics education and existing problems in medical schools. First, the concept of ethics education is weak;Second, the content of medical ethics education is single; Third, the medical education system is imperfect.;Fourth, the evaluation of medical ethics is old. For the existing problem, the paper analyses factors that affect the education of medical ethics education, such as personnel training mode, the employment system, society, teachers, families, and individuals.The fourth part puts forward the strategies and suggestions on how to improve medical ethics education. The article believes that strengthening and improving the medical ethics education need to change the concept of education, to consolidate medical students as the dominant position of medical ethics education, to reform the system of the education of medical ethics, to improve the content of medical ethics education. Also, this part presents effective ways to strengthen medical ethics education in medical schools: consolidating the classroom teaching, making full of use of conventional education as the carrier activities, optimizing campus cultural environment and organizing professional practice actively.Based on the comprehensive analysis of medical ethic education of medical colleges, the article makes us fully understand the medical ethics education is a systematic project, which required the joint participation of society as a whole in order to achieve this difficult task. It is a long way to go for creating the perfect training system for medical students'all-round development, which needs to do theoretical study and practical exploration unremittingly.
