Medical ethics is necessary for medical professionals. For a long time, the medical education in China focuses on the learning of clinical expertise and the training of clinical medicine technology while the education of medical ethics is ignored, which leads to the irrational knowledge structure of the medical students and the lack of humanity spirit and also the professional ethics landslide. The medical ethics is not formed spontaneously. It must be developed gradually through study and practice. As a result, we should establish the effective medical moral education model for the medical students, integrate the professional education with the medical ethics education, cultivate the good convictions, emotions and behaviors of the medical ethics of the students, form good professional spirits and internalize the medical ethics education in minds and externalize it in shape so that we make the students understand the true meaning of medicine, take the medicine as their own duties consciously in the process of performing the medical duties and become the responsible and supportive medical personnel with virtues and talents. This is the need for the development of the medical education and the construction of the harmonious society.The subject makes a survey among the medical undergraduates at different levels by employing the theories of medical ethics, psychology and pedagogy and the research method of literature review, questionnaires, student discussions, etc. Based on the data collection and empirical analysis we realize the medical ethics situation of the medical students, find out the current problems of medical ethics education and discuss the effective strategies of medical ethics education. It provides a basis for a systematic and effective educational pattern of medical ethics education.The paper can be divided into four parts. Part one illustrates the significance of the study, research situations at home and abroad as well as the research methods adopted in the paper. Part two introduces medical ethics, the related concepts and theories of the medical ethics education as well as the main contents, characteristics and significance of the medical ethics education. Part three analyzes the current situation of the medical ethics education among the students at different levels, the current situation and the problems of the medical ethics educational pattern and the current self-construction situation of the medical ethics among the students in medical universities. Part four proposes the strategies and advices for improving the medical ethics educational pattern. Medical colleges and universities should stand at a strategic level, follow the law of medical education, the law of growth of talents as well as the law of the formation of medical ethical qualities, include the medical ethics education in the personnel cultivating program as a module, play the role of clinical practice teaching and every educational practice of daily life in the medical ethics education, be familiar with the characteristics of different students, adopt the hierarchical and systematical full training mode, put the medical ethics education throughout the entire process of the talent cultivation, such as classroom teaching, campus culture construction, clinical practice, etc., so as to make the medical ethic education more scientific and targeted and reach the best teaching effect.The paper probed into the problems of the current medical ethics education through theoretical study and empirical analysis, proposes the whole process of the medical ethics educational pattern for the medical students, make the medical ethics education effective and feasible. It helps to cultivate more medical personnel with virtue and talents for the society. We should realize that it is an extremely complicated system engineering to cultivate a qualified medical worker with superb medical skills and noble medical ethics. It cannot be accomplished overnight but by the participation of people in whole society.
