College Instructors, the important organizers and perpetrators of developing and fostering qualified builders and reliable successors of socialism, are not only the backbones of university teaching and research team and the reserve forces of Administrators, but also the mentors who make college students normally. Establishing and improving the instructor incentive mechanism has important practical significance for further promoting the vocational and professional process of instructors and improving ideological and political education. At present, due to the lack of scientific instructor incentive mechanism in some districts and universities, not only caused the instructors unenthusiastic about work, poor in vocational identity, lack of enthusiasm and innovation in their work, unstable in their work, slow in raising the overall quality; but also seriously hindered the ideological and political education working smoothly, affected the reform, development and stability of university. Therefore, it's necessary to further research and scientific construct the instructor incentive mechanism, which can mobilize the enthusiasm, initiative and creativity and play greater role in achieving the goals of higher education.In recent years, college instructor incentive mechanism in China has made some achievements which mainly lie in: paying attention to the incentives, continuous improvement of policies and institutions; overall capacity enhancement to improve instructor structures and so forth. But at the same time, we faced a series of problems: such as, lack of clarity in job responsibilities of instructors, low of the satisfaction in salary incentive; unscientific of performance appraisal system; relatively weak in professional training and un-establishment of a complete career planning system.At first, I scientific interpret and define the relative concepts about'college instructor incentive mechanism'. And as the theory support for the entire article, I deeply study and describe several modern motivation theories. In the chapter of Current Situation of College Instructor Incentive Mechanism in China, I summed up some practical experiences of constructing college instructor incentive mechanism since the founding and pointed out some of the current difficulties and problems. In response to these issues, I discussed the strategies of scientific construction of, as following, actively learn successful experiences from foreign countries on college instructor incentive mechanism; establish and improve policies and institutions of college instructors and create a good atmosphere; establish a sound management system of salaries and a scientific and effective performance management system; construct a complete and effective system of career planning; improve the mechanism of self-motivation.
