| Education for International Understanding is currently one of the hottest topics in the worldwide field of education research. Education for International Understanding continued and developed after the "World Warâ…¡". Especially, with the initiation of UNESCO in 1974, Education for International Understanding made significant development and progress. As far as our country is concerned, We carried out the research in the 1990s. In fact, education for International Understanding in China started a little late. The reason why we carry out the education for international understanding is that, with the development trend of internationalization of education, better training of future international talent, the need to actively train students on human rights education, peace education, environmental education, the spirit of international understanding, international exchanges and cooperation as well as students'values and abilities, which is important part of quality education, but also a new emphasis in the curriculum reform.Education for International Understanding is not a specific form of education, but rather it is an educational concept and philosophy of education. It focuses on the dialogues and equal concerns to each other as well as the cultural understanding and being understood. It still promotes sustainable development, concerns about a back-to-life education. Education for international understanding is of great value to the world peace and development, human survival and happiness. So it is necessisary for our country to carry out the research of the international understanding education.In this study, we aim at teaching English to international understanding of education and research, the establishment of Education for International Understanding in the conduct of the current status quo of the issue based on a study revealing and strategies to find. The thesis is thus divided into three parts:The first part is an introduction. This part mainly discusses the reasons of research topic, significance, definition of related concepts, literature review and research ideas and research methods. The reason why the author chooses the topic is that education for international understanding based on the implementation of the new curriculum reform of basic education is the practical need as well as the need to carry it out. Still, we want to make our cities international, our education international. We still feel confused in carrying out the international understanding education. This is the significance of the topic.The second part is the thesis text, which is divided into five chapters. In this chapter, the author talks about the characteristics and the contents of international understanding education. Still, it talks about how we should carry out the education, the detailed contents of English teaching methods and contents. All these approaches are all accessable.The first chapter focuses the meaning and characteristics of educaiton for international understanding. This chapter discusses the background of international understanding education and the development of international understanding education, including the substance of education, objectives and the main contents. It also decribes the characteristics of education for international understanding.The second chapter focuses on the teaching objectives for international understanding education. The teaching objectives can be divided from "Three-dimensional Teaching Objectives", that is, emotion-attitude-value objectives, process and methods objectives, knowledage and skills objectives.The third chapter mainly talks about the English teaching contents of high school. The national curriculum, the local curriculum and the school-based curriculum and other aspects of teaching contents have been mentioned in this chapter. An example is given:the topic of Module 4 of Grade One is a social survey. We can introduce some water resources in other countries in the world. Nuo Culture of Dejiang has also been introduced as a local teaching material in this chapter.The fourth chapter is on the teaching methods of international understanding education. This chapter mentions the following methods:We can educate and train our English teachers of senior high schools; we can also find some better approaches to carry out the education; we can hold some more school activities to carry out the education; we can learn and create from the experiences of other couuntries; We can also create a good external environment for conducive teaching English for international understanding education.The fifth chapter deals with the teaching evaluation for English international understanding education. It discusses from two aspects:It is quite important to make a teaching evaluation for school English curriculum standards because it affects the results of teaching of English. Besides, we should build a evaluation system for carrying out the eduation and teaching curriculum.The third part is the conclusion, summarize the content and value of this study and look forward to a better future. |
