My research comprehensively and systemetically focused on the achievements of the eighth curriculum reform. With the methods of literature review, survey, mathematical statistics and logical analysis, we tried to find out the problems inside. Besides, this reform's effects on PE teachers is also an important aim of my research. Through my research, we can provide theoretical support for the elevation of PE teaching level and cultivating high quality personnel. The following aspects can be shown in our survey.①Action explanation and action model are widely used in daily PE teaching, which has poor effects because the students could not fully understand the action. With time going by, the interest in PE became the interest in sports in stead. More over, the contents are dull and infexible and the enforcement of PE teachers limited the freedom of students in PE. The direct result of these is the fact that the students just practiced but not are not educated. Faced with this situation, we should switch the role of students and teachers in PE in order to improve the students'health conditions and cultivate their interest in PE in the aspects of physiological health, psychological health, social adaption, sports participation and moter skills.②The expericed PE teachers'negligence of lesson planing is caused by the fact that the PE would be successful whether the lessons were prepared or not. After the curriculum reform, lessons planing is now paid attentions again. In the past, the rating of quality classes was considered as the important method of improving title and the classes would have been long designed and prepared, which led to the fact that the quality classes are the reveal of PE teachers'teaching style rather than the the learning of students. In the case of failure, the former positive attitudes of PE teachers would not continue. With the eighth curriculum reform, the results of quality class rating are not that important. Focused on the students as subject of the class, the quality classes would be really qualified.③The differences in phycial theory and sports expertise among PE teachers are caused by different education backgrounds. Middle school PE teachers in Henan reflected their lack in teaching and improved their teaching level through learning the latest teaching technics and introducting the realistic teaching methods. Besides, middle school PE teachers in Henan should also emphasize their own health and sports conditions, which are very easily overlooked. Now, it is common that the teachers did not timely remedial after finding out the decline of their health conditions. Without necessay practice, the overall health conditions of PE teachers are decreasing.
