The Design And Execution Of Creative Art Activities In Thematic Education In Kindergarten

Art activities are one of the most basic elements in kindergarten's curriculum, which is proficient to develop children's creative thinking skills, in addition to the fact that they are one of children's favorite activities. However, the facts that teachers weigh explaining over experimenting and children don't have enough insight about themselves and their creative abilities, make children unable to present themselves and their creative skills. Thus, we are experimenting ways to let the children be the master of their art activities. We started our research with focusing on the subject of"The Design and Execution of Creative Art Activities in Thematic Education in Kindergarten". The objective of this research is to connect creative art activities with the thematic education by using realistic design; and to protect, find and develop the potential creative abilities of children.We mainly used behavioral research method and spent one year in observing and studying the educational activities at the kindergarten. Firstly, we decided the main target of the creative art activities, following the direction of the principle of the thematic education activities. We found out the fact that the themes were stemmed from children's daily life, which should also meet children's interests and their cognitive and developmental level. In addition, the theme could also come from arts which emphasize its creativity. Secondly, we explored the design and execution of the creative art activities, and obtained the conclusion that it is key to use proper educational strategies and detailed evaluation to create a favorable educational environment. Lastly, we will present one of the designed projects to explain what we have done through the research, hoping that we could offer some suggestions to educators.
