The Exploitation And Practice Of The School-based Curriculum In Chemical Experiments At Senior High Schools

One important part of new curriculum reform is to give decision-making power of curriculum back to school. Therefore,the exploitation of the school-based curriculums is urgent. It is important to improve the current curricular form by making rational use of community and school teaching resources, developing and implementing school-based curriculum suitable for students'development and school characteristics, as well as offering a variety of learning styles to improve student scientific literacy. This paper discusses the background of the new curriculum, the purpose and significance of developing senior chemical experiment education. Under the guidance of chemical experiment education in high school and theory of school-based curriculum development, we explore the approaches, methods, effectiveness and other problems of such development, combined with chemical experiment teaching in our school, as well as investigation on the actual needs of students. We have developed chemical experiment curriculum courses in line with the requirements of the students and suit the actual characteristics of our School. Results have shown that the exploitation and practice of the school-based curriculum in chemical experiments at senior high schools will no doubt exercise positive effects on the ability of students, and competence of teachers as well.
