Performance management is a system engineering,which is familiar but also unfamiliar to many leaders in Chinese organizations.It is well-known that first-class organizations attach great importance to it,aiming to strengthen organizations'higher-level implementation,and to achieve every goal and overall strategies of organizations.In particular,performance assessment is of the most importance in performance management.Practically,due to the difference of understanding and the imperfection of implement conditions and some other causes in performance management,many organizations can hardly carry it out. On the contrary,it leads to some other unexpected problems,such as performance management becoming a mere formality,performance assessment resulting in tension between superordinates and subordinates,overall organization's performance becoming worse,etc.The reason is that we haven't realize and understand the key to performance management,that haven't master scientific and standard techniques,that haven't implement the precondition and basic program what performance assessment needs,and that haven't ensure every supporting factor.Therefore,reinforcing performance assessment's research and implementation in the process of performance management is an important part of most organization's management work currently.This paper is to introduce the basic knowledge,procedure and management skills through the study and discuss of the theories of performance management.We anlayzed and abstaracted the contemporary performance assessment,and there are some problems consisting in our performance assessment, such as the obscure purpose,the simplex assessment formulity,the oversimplified standard of assessment, the inappilcable assessment outcome,ect.Therefore we aimed at these problems and posed some workable performance aeeseement plans for solving them. In addition,we make much of this plan in order to propose some suggestions and solutions for the result of performance assessment of administrators at Guangdong A college.We sincerely hope that Gangdong A college make a progress in performance management.
