Research On The Model Of Talents Cultivation In Local Comprehensive Universities

With the quickening of the process of globalization, competition between countries gradually turns into talents competition, talents cultivation has become the key factor to raise the national core competitiveness. The expansion of higher education raises up the thinking for the personnel training quality by people, prompts universities to reform the education teaching model, so talent training models like honors college and experimental classes, have been received increasing attention. This study aims to demonstrate the necessity of the talents cultivation theoretically, analyzes the characteristics of talents training in some universities at home and abroad in practice, to sum up the beneficial experience for reference and make several suggestions for talents cultivation.This study is divided into four chapters. The first chapter is to state the background and reasons of the subject, account the research thinking and methods simply. Then try to clear the concept of the talents and training model, and demonstrate the necessity of talents cultivation from three angles which are freedom equality, elite thought in Marxist theory and the development of advanced knowledge, and try to demonstrate the importance of cultivating talent from the point of view of the national economic and social development. Chapter Two first introduces the operation mode of the honors college in the U.S. and the talent training mode in India elite colleges, mainly lifts honors college of Michigan state university and Indian institute of technology as examples, analyzes the characteristics of the requirements of application and selection standard, curricular plan, the individual training system under the Academic Specialist, service learning, practice training and international cultivation and summarizes the beneficial experiences. Then, analyzes the running model on Zhukezhen Honors College of Zhejiang University and the experimental classes of Zhengzhou University. Comparing the characteristics of the above the talent training at home and abroad, sums up the experience in five points:the systematic selection and bypass system, modular course system, the individual training system under the Academic Specialist, community service-learning and international cultivation. The third chapter introduces the present situation of Nanchang university talent training mode. On the basis of brief introduction of each experimental class running characteristics in Nanchang university, this paper expounds the training mode and training characteristics in classes of technology and the six-year experimental class from the angle of selection, curriculum setting, interdisciplinary cross training and international cultivation. The last chapter explores the specialists in the operation of the experimental class of Nanchang University. According to the experience of cultivating talent in other universities, tries to seek for some suggestions to improve the operation of the experimental classes in Nanchang University from four angles:strengthen the practice ability training, strengthen evaluation system construction, promote the communication between the students and establish parents'federation.
