In recent years, our country strive to develop vocational education. On the basis of improving the quality of the work force, we also emphasize to raise professional talents In the higher vocational P.E. teaching, how to instill the cooperative spirit into students and affect their words and actions has realistic significance, but the research in this area is a little we can refer to. So, I did some research on the application of the cooperative learning theory in the higher vocational P.E. teaching. In this arcticle, I learned the existing theory and application, made a general introduce on the research status at home and abroad, listed some authoritative description on its concept and significance, introduced several theoretical basis, methods and teaching evaluation of the cooperative learning. By means of some practical methods, I did some experimental study in the higher vocational P.E. teaching and contrast the effect of cooperative learning with traditional methods and make a conclusion that cooperative learning have advantages over traditional methods to learn motor skills and improve physical fitness. Also, cooperative learning makes greater effort in enhancing the communication and cooperation ability. Above all, this teaching theory has great promotional value and I hope this article can provide more theory and examples in this area.
