Studying education development worldwide, many countries reformed their native language courses, since 1990s, to meet with the modern society demands and make rapid progresses on both courses and teaching. With these reforms, courses selection became key support to modern senior middle school native language courses, whose opening also turned into a hot spot of 21st century international native language courses reform. Similarly, at the early of new century, China experienced its 8th Fundamental Education Courses Reform after over a hundred Chinese education history.'Fulltime Compulsory Education Chinese Curriculum Standards (test)'was issued in 2001,'Ordinary Senior Middle School Chinese Curriculum Standards (test)'was made in 2003, which advocated building modern, basic and diversified comprehensive courses structure and opening compulsory courses and selected courses. Such a large scale setting on Chinese selected courses, which broke the records of China education history, was a new test and shimmer, a big challenge and'nirvana'exam as well. Especially, the selected courses implements got a primary success at test, while the whole result is not ideal. With various conditions, factors'limits and influence, the selected courses'practices were seriously misplaced from original plans, and many conflicts at the theory and the reality needed solving urgently. Thus, under the terms, how to make Chinese selected courses much more scientific and efficient became the key points and difficulties of new courses reform and also the focus of the teachers from Senior Middle School. This article started from senior middle school's current situations, with historical records, interviews and case analysis, summarized the historical achievements. Based on reality, pondered and explored the old studies: firstly, the article dissertated the bases and limits of selected courses opening; secondly, focused on the problems in the course of reform; finally, integrated reform problems and their reasons with the successful case's experience, advanced a set of scientific, systematical, detailed and operable suggestions and solutions.
