With development of reform and opening-up as well as continuous political and economic revolution, dramatic changes have been caused from many perspectives in society which bring collision and mixture of different values. University student is the most active, sensitive with strongest subject consciousness sub group of younger generation. In the mean time, they are elite groups with higher intelligence taking responsibilities for future development of country and nation thus they are under higher expectations. University students had deep feelings over country's economic and society structure transform wave. In the procedure of their values'setting up and selection, university students were facing a society background with diversified values while our values education is facing the similar background with new situations and issues. Higher vocational institute education focuses on delivering talents with specified skills in front lines in related industries. It is one of the most important parts of our country's higher education and its policy for strong development over vocational education. Currently, the number of higher vocational institute is over half of all colleges and universities in China. This article is based on researches over theoretical meanings and practical meanings from higher vocational institute students'values. Analysis are provided from questionnaire investigations regarding modern higher vocational institute students'values situations and differences over different types of higher vocational institute students'values as well as factors for impacting values'setting-up. In addition, methods to optimize higher vocational institute students'values are also summarized in this article.This article is formed by following four sections:Basis research regarding this article's research background, values of this article as well as general descriptions of values. Moreover, provide overall analysis over national and international related values'researches and make summary for research objectives and methods of this article.Major section of this article. Author designed questionnaires based on values in higher vocational institute to be researched and provide analysis over results of questionnaires through personal values, political values and moral values. Investigations are classified based on various items. For example, sex, number of child, urban/countryside.Analysis regarding impacting factors for higher vocational institute students'values from four different perspectives:society, school/college/university, family and personal.Provide methods to optimize vocational school students'values aiming to negative aspects from sections2combined with potential issues claimed in section3.
