Values in personal life occupy a very important position. Any individual behaves under the guidance of their values, which affect people’s thought, the evaluation, selection and action. With the development of economic globalization and information globalization, political multi-polarization and cultural diversification, the complex international situation and multiple values exert subtle influence on the values of vocational students in college.Since China’s reform and opening up, especially after China’s accession to the WTO, great changes have taken place in our society, the reform in political system, economic system, the rapid development of Internet information technology, the clash of multi-culture, coupled with varied educational philosophy, vocational students’ values in college are not any better.Presently, vocational students are encouraged to emancipate the mind, renew the idea to enhance awareness of competition, equality, democracy and economy. But, the side effect is that the identity of nation, ethnics, justice and dedication is fading away, the phenomenon of money worship, hedonism and egoism is spreading among the students.Higher vocational education is an important part of higher education, which contributes to the socialist modernization by transmission of high-quality skilled personnel. It occupies an important position in the talent strategy and Rejuvenation of China through science and education.While college time is a critical period of values forming for vocational students, core socialism values guidance for students is not only the needs of students’ all-round development, but a historical issue related to the long-term and healthy development of the country and society.Therefore, it would have important practical significance to do some research on current situation and features of vocational students’ values, to make analysis of the main factors affecting values’ forming and developing and explore the effective methods and measures.The introduction part: brief description on the study background, the research significance, research status at home and abroad, the innovation points and deficiencies, the research ideas and research methods.In addition to the introduction part and the conclusion part, this paper structure is as follows:The first part: it analyzes values’ current situation, its features and the necessity of strengthening values guidance for higher vocational students. In this part, first of all, four related concepts, nation, society, vocational students, the present values and the characteristics are defined, to make readers have a more clear understanding on the research object and research content in this paper. Secondly, it elaborates the necessity of strengthening core socialism value guidance respectively from the perspectives of society, vocational students, the present values and the characteristics. Thirdly, according to the inductive analysis of the questionnaire, the author makes a deep analysis of vocational students’ current values through five aspects: political values, life values, marriage values, career values and moral values. The analysis shows the mainstream values are healthy, positive, filled with patriotism, collectivism and socialism. But the problems are obvious that the vocational students attach too much attention to the realization of self-worth; they are not aware of the historical mission and social responsibility; utilitarian value orientation and value cognition and behavior contradictions prevail. Finally it is concluded that the features of vocational students’ values reflect in such five aspects as value diversities, subject-egoistic, value goal utility, value cognition and behavior contradiction and the instability.The second part: it analyzes influencing factors on Higher Vocational College Students’ values from domestic environment of social transformation and international environment which is characterized by economic globalization, information globalization, political multi-polarization and cultural diversity. Secondly, it lays special stress on analyzing the particularity from the perspectives of vocational students(including origin of domiciles, psychology, educational objectives and educational mode),teachers(including counselor team and faculty structure) and higher vocational college(including leadership cognition deviation and defective management system).Thirdly, influencing factors on the values are mentioned from the perspective of family(including family atmosphere, domestic discipline and family education). Finally, the thesis discusses influence factors on value from the Internet and the growth of college students.The third part: it brings up core socialism value guidance strategy to college vocational students. The most fundamental task of ideological and political work in higher vocational colleges is to build consensus, arm the mind with theories of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and unite the people with core values of socialism. This part puts forward guiding strategy based on the analysis of factors affecting college students values from five points, reinforce value guidance content, exert reasonable value guidance method, improve the value guidance system, make full use of values to guide carriers and improve value guidance environment.
