With the development of information technology, computer games ,as a new form of entertainment,have gone into the lives of pupils with educational nature of computer games had begun. This set of entertaining, educational games with virtual environment and a high degree of interaction were loved by students of all ages, in the field of education also has broad application prospects.New curriculum reform advocates students-centered and fun classroom learning; while traditional teaching methods can not reflect the new curriculum reform ideas. With the lack of English language learning environment, and the basis of primary school curriculum, English teaching is a big challenge for teachers. The introduction of educational game in primary classroom teaching, will be not only simulate the English learning environment, stimulate students interest in learning English, and students self-learning ability, but also change the traditional teaching methods, and is one of the ways for teaching innovation. This paper from the educational game design theory, with primary school students'cognitive characteristics and English disciplines of classroom teaching and application of game design made a thorough study.First, through questionnaires and interviews, researched primary school English teaching subject knowledge of the characteristics and cognitive characteristics of students, the basic theory analysis used in educational games teaching, proposes educational games and school subjects in English Teaching the feasibility and necessity of the combination.Then, I analyzed the characteristics of English teaching games, educational games presented in the English classroom teaching two applications: classroom practice mode and the classroom gaming learns. The first mode for English classroom teaching , choose an existing flash game and using in classroom teaching; The second application mode, the analysis based on materials and designed the games for teaching, then do the implementation and evaluation.Finally, thought the classroom teaching game choice,design,evaluation and analysis,I summarize the pros and cons of educational games up,used in English teaching in primary schools; finally, analyze the application of the future prospects and look forward what we can do.
