With the deepening of reform and opening-up and the socialist market economic system graduallyestablished, with the government and enterprises, institutions, social welfare, a part of social service andsocial management function gradually stripped and transmitted to the community, the communityconstruction of our country and community work in the social development and the social management,the role and position of management is more and more prominent, people start to pay attention tocommunity work and community service quality problems. Government of Beijing do a great effort topromote development of community.The community of workers, as the service effect the directcommitment of community services, has been the focus. They are an integral part of the communitybuilding,so their professional identity has a direct impact on the quality of community services, andaffects the development of social work specialization, professionalization.This study uses qualitative research methods, and eight community workers from the differentcommunities. This study focus on the course of their work, and describe their careers, workingconditions and satisfaction of work, vocational adjustment process and the current work experience,professional identity feelings and so on. And describes and analyzes the factors of impacting on theirprofessional identity formation process and career identity status. Conclusions made description of theirprofessional identity status from the value identity, ability identity, emotion identity, continuousrecognition and input identity. From above description,the author thinks factors of affecting communitypractitioners' professional identity specific career motivation, career orientation, self-realization, jobsatisfaction and learning. Finally, according to the actual conditions, the author offer proposals toenhance the professional identity of community practitioners: firstly,the government carefully recruitcommunity workers as developing social work vigorously; secondly, the government will set a positionsystem that has a perfect system of organization, smooth circulation;thirdly, the government will clearoccupation orientation of community workers and improve the professional status; fourth, thegovernment will improve working conditions in order to improve the professional identity ofcommunity workers.
