It has been over a hundred years since our country imported the higher education system from the west and established colleges. During the past 60 years after the foundation of the state, tremendous improvements have been made in our country's higher education. Due to the effect of the Planning Economy, as well as our country's specific conditions in the primary stage of socialism, the current college administration is long-term and objective. The importance of College administration to the college management is beyond reproach. However, the excessive use of administration, the distortion of administration and the generalization of administration will inevitably bring harmful effects to college management. On the basis of dialectical analysis of the reasonable college administration and tendency of administration, this paper mainly discusses the reform of de-administration.This essay has been divided into four chapters to discuss the reform of college administration removal.Chapter One, the history and current situation of China's college administration. Firstly, it provides definition and explanation of college administration. Then based on a brief explanation of the history of college administration after the foundation of the state, it will mainly focus on the discussion of the current situation and tendency of China's college administration from two levels of regulation and management.Chapter Two, the dialectical analysis of China's current college administration. Firstly, it aims to prove the inevitability of reasonable college administration according to the history and current situation. This chapter will mainly focus on the explaining of problems such as the corruptibility in education, the divergence of the original goal of establishing colleges, the between the personnel training and the needs of the society, the generalization of scientific research and the dominance of the executive power, which are caused by the excessive use of administration, the distortion of administration and the generalization of administration that had disabled the purity and elegance of the college environment. Therefore, it is apparent that the reform of college administration removal is imperative.Chapter Three, the road of the reform of college administration removal. This chapter will elaborate the reform of college administration removal in both internal and external factors of colleges. The external factors will be discussed from two aspects: one is to alter the functions of the government to improving the management model of colleges and to recognize their status and bring them back the autonomy of running colleges. The internal factors will be discussed from five aspects, which includes: changing the concept of running colleges and updating the management system, improving the decision making system and strengthening the democratic atmosphere, improving the operating mechanism and bringing the oversight function into full play, improving the evaluation system and displaying the characteristics of colleges,and improving the institutional settings and raising the efficiency.The last part will give the general targets of college de-administration reform, which are: strengthening the democratic and academic power while weakening the executive power and also, attempting to raise the standards of value judgments of reasonable college administration to the education authorities.
