With the great-leap-forward development of China's car market, the volume of the old vehicles also has a fast growth, but we still don't have an effective, reasonable and fair appraisal system. The paper analyzes the present market situation of old motor vehicle evaluation, introducing the comprehensive performance testing data results into evaluation system, the evaluation of old vehicle mainly based on technical appraisement of parameters, in the old vehicle price calculation combined the influence of some subjective factors, strive to draw the reasonable price. In evaluating process, the paper divides the technical assessment process into two parts:inspection and online detection. The former is the evaluation of vehicle qualitative check personnel, content is divided into five parts:engine, chassis, body, electrical equipment, car interior examination and etc, and we use play split to grade the related item; The latter is mainly analyzes the influence of the brake, environment protection, and drivability in the technical performance. If we consider many factors among the vehicle evaluation, the weight of each parameter must be determined.The paper analyzes and calculates the weight of each parameter with AHP (analytic hierarchy process), and highlighted vehicle safety, environment protection's importance, on this basis the paper integrated use condition and many factors. Combining the current market demand and the status quo, on the basis of existing assessment method, we set up our own assessment method, analyzed and calculated by an example. Finally based on Visual Basic6.0 language, we set up our own evaluation system, and realizes the systematic and informatization.
