Biomedical Technology Park In Beijing Competitive Analysis And Strategic Choice

With the development of integration of world economy, and new technological revolution, governments attach higher importance to the bioengineering and pharmaceutical'industry. Chinese government regards the bioengineering and pharmaceutical industry as the new strategic industry, and takes measures to strengthen support at the same time. the Beijing municipal government also makes bioengineering and pharmaceutical industry as one of the three important high and new technology industry, during the period of the eleventh five-year plan, and to push the development of bioengineering and pharmaceutical industry, the government has put in place a series of related policies in the field.Although high-tech park is undertaking significant function for the development of high-tech, industrialization of scientific and technical payoffs, and the development of regional economy, which is pilot and radiating, the high-tech park is exposed to such challenges from the lack of land, capital, and talents, improvement of technical innovation, and the promotion of management system and operation system.At present, the pattern has come into being in Beijing, which the zhongguancun Life Science Park is the centre of innovation grouping area of bioengineering and pharmaceutical industry in the north, Beijing Economic Technological Development Area and Daxing Bioengineering and Pharmaceutical Industrial Park are the centre of manufacture grouping area of bioengineering and pharmaceutical industry in the south. In my paper, I discussed deeply the development situation, current problem of the three parks above mentioned, put forward the management and development model the successful high-tech parks should have. Through analyzing the competitive power based on diamond model, I put forward strategy choices to develop Beijing bioengineering ad pharmaceutical industrial park in the new situation. In order to keep competitive advantages, the park must improve key element, especially soft environment development, must be clear of the strategic positioning and function construction, must innovate the management system and operation system, in addition, the government support and human resources are also important for the development of the park.
