With exhaustion of the fossil energy, the more of the press of environment, the increase of energy demand and price of the fossil energy, and the intensity of the battle for the world's energy resource become stronger, it has become a trend of the world development that finding renewable clean energy and diversify the energy supply. Biomass energy can become energy because of reality and instead of fossil energy. At the same time, we can materially product the materials and bio-chemical products, harmlessly and recycling the organic waste and become the valueless marginal land to energy base. Then it can provide strong support for enhancing the economic efficiency of farmers and increasing their income and developing the rural economy.China is a predominantly agricultural country, and has abundant of straw resources. The straw output is about half the amount of biomass energy resource in china. But the status of straw resources is not optimistic, always high consumption, high pollution and low output, and a lot of straw are discarded or burned, not development and utilization rationally.The paper first analyzes the ways of the use of straw biomass, and point out some question in utilization of straw biomass, through the status of utilization of the straw biomass. Second make a comparison between direct-fired power generation and other utilization ways of straw biomass. And show some superiority of direct-fired power generation of straw. Finally the article makes some suggestions about promoting the utilization of direct-fired power generation.
