The Relationship Research Of Logistics Industry And Economic Growth In Hunan Province

As rapid economic development and the product of the deepening social division of labor, logistics industry has a great influence in the circulation of goods throughout the community and business operating efficiency. It's a measure of the degree of modernization. Famous economist Li Yining refined of the new modern logistics classified as "third industry". Besides reducing material consumption and increasing labor rates, modern logistics is to be the "third profit source".Based on the theoretical study, we analyze the regional logistics and economic growth in qualitative analysis and the quantity by using of 24 years of data (1985-2008),we use the test of Granger Causality and Vector autoregression to figure out the exact relationship between logistics and economic growth and figure out the characteristics of the logistics industry and the economic growth in Hunan province. To make relevant suggestions through the perspective of the logistics industry accordingly.In this paper, we can draw from the analysis in the following conclusions:Hunan logistics industry development and economic growth exist long-term equilibrium relationship, and is a one-way causality. Logistics demand is caused by GDP fluctuations in volatility Granger, but the economic the volatility of growth does not significantly affect the logistics demand fluctuations; In addition, Johansen analysis shows that logistics demand stimulating effecting on the economy is not labor and capital. It indicated that logistics industry have more space for development. Accordingly, we make the point for the development of logistics industry. Proposing the overall development of logistics planning to promote the development of urban cluster group logistics is important. Agriculture is other key to strengthen logistics development by reducing logistics costs and accelerate logistics personnel training. Enhancing soft environment for logistics development and other specific suggestions are necessary. We hope it can play a positive role in promoting Hunan economic development.
