| Steel industry is one of the backbone industries in China, it has significant influence on our country's national economy. Iron ore is the main material of steelmaking in steel enterprises, therefore, plenty of iron ore material is the guarantee about the successful development of the steel industry in China. Although our country is rich in iron ore resources, but majority of China's domestic iron ore is in lower quality and difficult to mine. Since both in quality and quantity can not meet the needs of the steel industry, China began to import iron ore from the early 1990s. By the year 2010, our dependence on foreign iron ore reached 62.5% and the total amount of imported iron ore still continue to increase. The imported iron ore mainly transported by sea into our country, which is a new requirement to our coastal ports system. This article based on the analysis of the present situation of the layout of China ironstone wharf and the problems in it, find out the influencing factors of the layout, and then combined with the iron ore layout of Bohai-Sea to analyze the actual situation, put forward an evaluative system and method of the ironstone wharf layout, analyze the rationality of Bohai-Sea ironstone layout, and finally look forward the prospects of China iron ore dock. |
