There are numerous experiences and much enlightenment to be gleaned from Korean multinational electronics firms in terms of technological innovation. This is true for these firms'use of both imitative and independent innovation. This paper is based on specific analysis, comparative studies, and cases analysis in order to analyze the status, main types, and extant problems of Korean multinational electronics firms'technological innovations. The basic purpose is to analyze the selection standards and innovations of Korean multinational electronics firms'new strategies, with a particular focus on the strategy of Korean Samsung Electronics as a case study.The achievement of the paper is varied, and the research results are meaningful and realistic. This paper is based on the specific analysis of imitative innovation and independent innovation, and utilizes such findings to suggest that Korean Samsung Electronics'standards for technological innovation should be selected according to the factors of their development stage, enterprise size, and the internal and external enterprise environment. Through this case, the tropism of Korean Samsung Electronics'technological innovation can be clearly seen. Finally, the relationship between imitative and independent innovation is analyzed in technological innovations strategy. For the developing countries, the independent innovation is the inexorable tendency of developing countries'multinational electronics firms' technological innovations.
