Statistics indicates that up to the year of 2009, the global merchant ship capacity has reached to 8,919 millions deadweight tonnage, the huge fleet brings the huge negative influence to the environment. The data demonstrates that from all over the world about 52000 civil ships are registered more than 100 tonnage, approximately 500 millions tons of fuel oil has been consumed every year, which leads to 1,600 millions tons of carbon dioxide and 30 millions tons of sulphur dioxide has been release to the air every year, making the greenhouse effect and the air pollution aggravating. IMO estimates that if the shipping industry does not use some new energy conservation technology, the energy consumption will rise dramatically about 38% up to 72% by the end of the year of 2020, this will further intensify the energy crisis.Meantime, as the international oil price has been fluctuated on the top level, which brings the serious cost pressure for the shipping enterprise during the production operation, all shipping companies have taken positive counter measures, seeking the possible methods of cost saving, increasing the maintenance of ships, reducing the fuel oil consumption. Through some nimble modes of business operation (eg. slow steaming, slot exchange), it aims to reduce the consumption of fuel oil for the large-scale ships every day, also to achieve the cost saving and productivity improvement.Basis on the energy consumption situation of shipping enterprises, through the analysis of ships daily oil consumption, this thesis is trying to explore the technological means for shipping industry which adopts for the ships energy conservation. This article analyses the measures of technical energy conservation, management to conserve energy and to manage energy conservation by the C Shipping company, which achieves the goal of further reduction of energy consumption, simultaneously, once the oil price is still on upward stage, the author submit the positive proposals to the management of C Shipping company, through the analysis of adopting "adds more ships to decelerate" and readjusting the service routing layout.
