A Research On MIS Performance Appraisal Of Financial Enterprises

In recent years, as the world economic integration, national and inter-regional cooperation deepened. While financial innovations continue, the financial industry technology and data have become increasingly demanded. On the other hand, due to the complexity of financial markets, worldwide financial crises shook the nerves of each country over and over again. On the economical background, the information technology has great development. But for the financial enterprises, they need to apply the latest information technology to improve the management level, risk control, develop customer needs and product innovation, so as to ultimately improve business performance.Since both the academic and practical need, this study was on MIS performance appraisal of financial enterprises. Due to the complexity of management information systems and the financial industry itself mixed trend, experts and scholars,who are in related fields of the study on financial enterprises'MIS performance appraisal, have different points of views, different perspectives and methods. They formed of a number of schools and method systems, there is no uniform, standardized processes and methods.This study aims to explore a set of scientific and economical system on MIS performance appraisal of financial enterprises. The study tried to achieve not only technology assessment, but also long-term growth, both concerned with the economic benefits and social responsibility, to establish a balance of comprehensive and practical feasibility. In this paper, there is the following work:First of all, the research introduced the background and both the theoretical and practical significance. MIS have great effort on financial enterprises'management level, decision-making level and operational efficiency, caused strategic and intangible value to increase rapidly. But at the same time, while information technology replacement cycles getting shorter, there is a time lag on the MIS performance appraisal. The most important reason is that the management level of Chinese financial business is relatively trailed than some of the more mature western multinational financial organizations.Then this paper summarized a large number of domestic and foreign research on performance appraisal. Account for the subject of the MIS performance appraisal. Then classified a variety of perspectives, and each gave a brief introduction of each perspective's origin, development, and\main results. In these perspectives, based on their own or the combination of several perspectives, performance appraisal index systems can be built. This study summarized the financial-based, multi-factor comprehensive appraisal, mathematical and statistical methods in five different methodologies. Then this study selectively introduced several methods which are widely used and make a specific description on their advantages and disadvantages.Subsequently, this research introduced the history of foreign development, leads to the revelation of Chinese financial enterprises'MIS. As a comparison, according to the external environment and the special circumstances of Chinese financial enterprises'MIS, this paper analyzed the existing three-layers architecture and the performance appraisal status, illustrated six issues such as the lack of scientific and poor operability.The final part is the most important part of this research. Based on previous studies and the proposed six indicators, it selected and established a comprehensive, yet rational indicator system. The system stressed on the quantitative and qualitative, but also tangible and intangible costs and benefits of the same concerns. According to the four angles the balanced scorecard, it used fuzzy Delphi method to choose key indicators under the four dimensions into the system. Subsequently, it used an approximate, but within reasonable limits of the algorithm, AHP, to determine the weight of the indicators in the appraisal system. After an empirical example, it proved the validity of the model.The purpose of this study is to develop a scientific and practical performance appraisal system on financial enterprises'MIS. In the development process, summed up the experience of predecessors, it is designed to help companies assess their MIS results, to improve their management and decision-making level, and lead to the future success of development and implementation of MIS.
