ERP is a complicated program involved all managements of a company. It systematically organizes, administrates and controls the company's internal human resources, finance and products by informational management technique, in order to cut the cost, increase working efficiency and economic benefits. However, its success rate is not high enough for many Chinese companies. It is reported that only 10 to 20 percent companies using ERP program can achieve system integration within budget on time; about 30 to 40 percent of them just made it partially or could not make it at all; and about 50 percent even failed in the process of implementation. The three reasons of the situation above are: the lack of massive evaluation and control of risks, the ignorance of the function of the leaders and stuffs in A company, the low management skills of the Program Managers of ERP suppliers. Therefore, this paper systematically discusses the key factors that determine the success of implementation through estimating the ERP program in DS Group. Based on those data, it provides an example as references for other enterprises which use ERP to accumulate more experience and improve their problem-solving skills, increase the success rate, accelerate informative instruction, and lower the risk of ERP implementation. The main question of this paper is how to make proper criteria of ERP implementation.First of all, this paper introduces the background of establishment of DS Group, and elaborates the reason of using grouped ERP and the choice of kingdee as a supplier. It also generally introduces every functional Modules of kingdee EAS. In the condition of fixed supplier, based on ERP theoretical ERP estimation, this paper discusses the outcomes of DS Group when using ERP in three aspects. Firstly, the readiness- whether the preparation is good enough. Secondly, the evaluation during the implementing process- the quantitative analysis of the supplier. Thirdly, the final evaluation after the implementation.- the ERP effect by doing surrey on ERP users.Next, it respectively elaborates the characteristics and current situation of every evaluation method in three chapters. Meanwhile, it formulates the evaluation criteria of ERP and establishes the ERP evaluation module. The ERP program is divided into three parts to estimate by quantitative analysis. At last, it summarizes the evaluation of those three phases and comprehensively judges the outcomes of the whole program's implementation. At the last part of this paper, it brings up its research value and theoretical meaning. There is also an analysis of its shortcomings and potential direction of further study to set up a new goal for future research.
