Management innovation has an important influence for organizational performance andits success or failure descides the destiny of the enterprise and acquisition of its competitiveadvantages. However, the difficulty of carrying out management innovation lies in a lack ofnatural corresponding relationship between the imput and output of management innovation. At the same time, theoretical research on management innovation still focuses on its object, subject, content, way and precess mainly by means of induction and experiencesummarization without digging deeper to the facters that influence the performance of themanagement innovation. Meanwhile, with the forthcoming network economy ,to acquire andapply new knowledge through network resources can largely determine the firm's innovationability. Therefore, it's significant to study the mechanism of how network influence itsmanagement innovation performance.Based on the enterprise network theory, management innovation theory and knowledgemanagement theory, this paper put network structure, knowledge inflow and managrmentinnovation into a theoretical model, and makes an empirical analysis of whole model based onthe 458 questionnaires data of high-tech and private-tech enterprises in Guangdong Province. The results demonstrates that: knowledge inflow level positively influences the performanceof management innovation. Four features of network structure obviously influencemanagement innovation and knowledge inflow; knowledge inflow obviously adjusts therelationship between network structure and the performance of management innovation. It is proved effective to apply network structure theories to explain managementinnovation. In practice, for better expectations, enterprises may consciously optimize theirnetwork structure, promote knowledge inflow level and adjust R&D investment. The authorhopes that the research will provide some guidance to the management innovation ofenterprises.
