As an emerging industry and intelligence services industry, consulting industry is booming worldwide, becoming one of the "sunrise industry".China is in a critical period when building a moderately prosperous society, deepen the reform and opening up, and accelerating the transformation of economic development, these will provide a more rational and challenging opportunities for China's rapid development of management consulting. Many multinational management consulting company is targeting China's market, have settled in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong and other developed regions. We can learn more advanced concepts, and we also can see our strengths and potential through these management consulting company. Therefore become particularly important to enhance ourselves competitiveness by learning from the success stories.We get inspiration from the theory of Porter's Value Chain and Competitive Advantage:a competitive advantage depends on a variety of value activities on the enterprise value chain and how to manage the value chain system efficiently. Therefore, the competitiveness of management consulting companies on the perspective of value chain analysis has both theoretical significance and practical guidance value. In this thesis, to expand based on the value chain management consulting firm competitiveness through the following aspects:First, reviewed and summarized the theory and existing results of domestic and international competitiveness associated of enterprises, value chain theory, and management consulting. Think deeply about the logical connections between the theory and the idea of this thesis, and cleared the methodology of the thesis.Second, introduced from the history and development to the competitive situation of the management consulting firm in China, then revealed and analyzed existing problems from the five aspects.After defining a general value chain of management consulting firm, identified the advantage links of the value creation process, then measured the indicators that affect the competitiveness of the management consulting firm through questionnaire survey and statistical analysis, to extract five main factors which are consulting team's strength and service levels, marketing activity, knowledge management and sharing, institution building of human resources, and integrating the infrastructure resources, through Principal Component Analysis. On this basis, build a management consulting firm competitiveness-driven model. And pick out five management consulting firm with certain representative, calculated its comprehensive competitiveness score, to detect the model.Finally, a summary and outlook to the entire text, for the limitations of this study the content and direction for further research. |
