The quickly development of the national economy stimulate the rapid growth in energy demand. The basic national conditions of rich in coal but little oil make the coal being the main force to meet the domestic energy consumption. The mode of production in coal mining enterprises has undergone tremendous changes, it is increased constantly in mechanization and centralization, and extra large modern mines continue to emerge, so the coal production has vastly improved. At the same time, the working surface continuously advanced the problems of long distance, speed accident diffusion, large disaster dangerous area and long escape routes etc., it has set new request to the coal mine safety. The establishment of an emergency refuge system underground coal mine, effectively reduce the escape routes to compensate for the lack of rescue time, increasing the chances of survival of underground workers, to enhance the coal mine disaster of the whole system against ability and reduce the loss of mine disasters has become a top priority.This paper is based on analyzing the domestic and foreign relevant research and production characteristic of coal mine in our country, combining with the mine disaster characteristics and the lack of the way of avoiding disaster, meanwhile, analyzing the importance of emergency refuge system which is the core part of "six system", the necessity of detailed analysis in specific types of disasters, and the main components characteristics of emergency refuge system. The author took example for gas explosion, with the propagation of the explosion wave in the tunnel, analyzed gas explosion on the influence of the hedge facilities positions, established the hedging facilities which escape time was taken as the main parameters and the distance model of working surface, and then drew lessons from tunnel fire evacuation principle, used the evacuation time to verify the rationality of the distance by calculating, then we identified the reasonable position in different tunnel types corresponding to the hedging facilities, finally the paper put forward the basic ideas and methods to set up escape routes.This paper used the study on the type of disaster emergency system characteristics on construction effect, analyzed the personnel demand for hedging in possible disaster conditions, and the analysis provided a strong theoretical support to establish effective and safe emergency system, taking a better protection of workers’ life safety, but also would improve the economy of establishment on emergency system to some extent.
