The Safety Risk Management Research Of LNG Terminal Project Construction

Along with the rapid development of the liquefied natural gas ("LNG" for short) industry, more and more LNG terminals are being constructed in China. As an emerging large-scale project in China, and it is difficult to construct LNG terminal successfully due to high-level safety risk. How to control the safety risk in the process of LNG construction is a new and urgent topic for the owner and the contractor. Whether the construction safety risks are controlled successfully can play an important role in new LNG terminal project. So the safety risk management research for the LNG terminal project construction is conducted in this paper.Safety risk management theory is introduced at first in this paper, the distinguishing features of LNG project are summarized and the deficiencies of the safety management during the construction of the LNG terminal are analyzed. Then, taking the ZhuHai LNG terminal for example, the safety risks are identified and evaluated according to the safety risk management theory. In the end of this paper, detailed description of the application of safety risk controlling theory during the construction of the ZhuHai LNG terminal is provided. The work of this paper can provide reference to other similar LNG projects.
