Along with the wearing out of petroleum resource, exploration of Deep-water oil and gas has become the key global energy strategy, and China has begun to pay great attention to the research of technology of marine petroleum exploitation. The laying of submarine flexible pipeline is the foundation of exploitation of deepwater petroleum resource, Flex-lay system is the specialized equipment for the laying of submarine flexible pipeline, and this technology is monopolized by a few foreign companies.The research subject originates from the project of CNOOC "Research on Key Technology and Prototype of Flex-lay System". This thesis focuses on the overall design of Flex-lay system through the in-depth analysis and research on foreign-related technology. The purpose of the thesis is to R&D Flex-lay system with independent intellectual property right.The current research situations of pipeline laying and related techniques are introduced. The characteristics and application scopes of typical pipeline laying methods are discussed through reading a large number of references. The basic working principle of Flex-lay system is introduced and the general scheme of Flex-lay system is proposed according to the design requirements, work environment and pipeline parameters.In this paper, mechanical structure of Flex-lay system is designed based on the deep study of structure scheme. The structures of aligner wheel, pipe straightener, hang-off clamp and lay ramp are studied especially. Three-dimensional structure model of system is established with Pro/E, and the interference checking is carried out, ensured the feasibility of structural design.The strength and stiffness analysis of important parts such as pipe straightener, hang-off clamp and lay ramp are performed with the finite element analysis software. The structure design of Flex-lay system can be ensured to meet the design and operation requirements with finite element analysis.When the Flex-lay system designed in this paper is used in pipeline laying operation, the force condition of pipeline must be guaranteed in allowable range. So the research on the marine flexible pipeline mechanical characteristics is studied in this paper, and the stress state of marine pipeline is calculated with MATLAB, to ensure the safety of pipeline. Finally, the dynamic simulation of Flex-lay system on normal and abominable circumstances is performed. Two kind of simulation data are obtained from dynamic simulation and is compared, which are used to demonstrate the rationality of system kinetic characteristic.
