Along with the rapid development of the global economy, the demand of resource of the world is growing. Face to the increasingly depleted petroleum land resource, people gradually turning their foresight to the marine field. But in the related field of the laying of submarine flexible-pipeline, our country has a large gap with the foreign developed countries. Research on key technology Flex-lay System is still relatively behindhand. Our Research Group has an in-depth research on experimental prototype based on the project of CNOOC "Research on Key Technology and Prototype of deep water Flex-lay System". The goal of this paper mainly is to develop the principle prototype and have an experimental research on Flex-lay System.,the purpose of the thesis is to R&D Flex-lay system with independent intellectual property right.The paper introduces the development status of the Flex-lay System at home and abroad,through research and analysis of domestic and foreign relevant products, the operating principle of Flex-lay System is ascertained and put forward the overall design requirements of the experimental prototype according the designing specifications and performance parameters, at the same time, determining the components of machine body system.The paper researches the pre bending and straightening in pipeline laying operation of Flex-lay System, the moment, curvature and deflection parameter change is designed based on the deep study of pipeline bending, according to the experimental pipeline parameters , the track length of straightener , preflexing and straightening and is calculated, which provides a theoretical basis for the aligner wheel and pipe straightener.In this paper, the experimental prototype structure of Flex-lay System is designed and have a detailed research,the structures of aligner wheel,pipe straightener,hang-off clamp and roller device is designed especially thorough calculations and theoretical checking. Creating the model by three-dimensional software Pro/E, through finite element analysis software to check the strength and stiffness of the key components and determine the structural design reasonable and correctness.The pipeline laying experiment on land of Flex-lay System is performed, the experiment mainly includes three components: simulating the pipeline laying process through the prototype land experiment, verifying tensioner constant tension laying; verifying aligner wheel and pipe straightener design scheme feasibility through the straightening pipeline experiment and putting forward the solutions to the problems; verifying hang-off clamp design scheme reliability through its clamping pipeline experiment and improving the problems.The key technology of engineering prototype can be verified by experimental prototype of Flex-lay System, therefore, it is important practical siginificance for the researche of experimental prototype of Flex-lay System, the paper provides reference and experience for engineering prototype research and manufacture of the Flex-lay System.
