The roll-movement simulator turntable is the key equipment which is used to simulate and test aerial vehicles’performance on the ground. And it plays a very important role in the process of design and development of aerial vehicles’ subsystems. The simulator turntable’s performance directly influence the reliability and credibility of simulate and test. And also it is the basis which ensures the performance and precision of the aerial vehicles product.This paper focuses on the simulator turntable’s mechanical structure design and the dynamics analysis of the simulator turntable. Firstly, analyze several design proposals of the simulator turntable’s mechanical structure. Research the principle and method for choosing the actuator and the type of drive for the simulator turntable. And determine the simulator turntable’s design proposal which is proposed and finished in the paper. Summarize and research the simulator turntable’s overall structure including mechanical structure and control system. Elaborate on design method and technology measures which are used to insure the performance index of the simulator turntable.Then, used the software of PRO/ENGINEER to make three-dimensional components models of the simulator turntable, and establish the virtual prototype by virtual assembling technology. Kinematics simulator turntable is implemented by using PRO/ENGINEER software. The result shows that there not exist dynamic interferences among component, and also proves that feasibility of all parts’dimension. Using the software ADAMS to establish the functional virtual prototype by adding material properties, binding properties, drive attributes into the digital prototype, then perform dynamics simulation analysis emphasizing on the rates, position function and motors output torque. Then present the scheme to optimize original design based on comparing the simulation result and actual design.Computational analysis and checking of some important parts are carried out in this paper. Research the computing method which is used for computing the major loading including inertial load, friction load and gravity load of roll-movement simulator. And also calculate and analyze the significant indicator that is called decrement rate in this paper.
